We're in a Grade I listed building on West Walls, and parts of it are harder to get into than we'd like. This page tells you exactly what to expect before you visit, including the things we haven't fixed yet.

Getting here

West Walls Brewing Co., West Walls, Carlisle, CA3 8UB.

We're in the city centre, a short walk from Carlisle railway station, with city centre bus stops a minutes walk away on Victoria Viaduct. We don't have our own car park, but Heads Lane car park is directly opposite the brewery. There's also West Walls car park, a council car park about two minutes' walk away down the Sallyport steps, though the steps mean it isn't a step free route.

Getting in

The main entrance has a few steps. We keep a portable ramp on site and our team will bring it out for you. The pavement outside is narrow, which makes the ramp steeper than we would want it to be. Because of that, we'd rather know you're coming. Ring ahead and someone will happily be on hand at the door to help.

Once you're inside

The taproom is all on one level. The bar, the seating and the toilets are step free once you're through the door.

Seating comes in a range of heights and styles, so there's usually something that suits. 

Toilets

We have a DDA compliant accessible toilet on the ground floor, available any time we're open.

Dogs and children

Dogs are welcome. Children are welcome until 8pm.

Food and drink

Our pizza menu changes, so what's on today won't always be on next week. Tell the team about any allergies or dietary needs when you order and they'll talk you through exactly what's in everything.

We keep low and no alcohol beer behind the bar, along with soft drinks for those who don't drink alcohol. We also have a great range of local spirits, amazing wines and special beers in the fridge.
